McDonalds Chicken Nuggets Contains Mysterious Fibers

(NaturalNews) The Health Ranger’s forensic food investigation of Chicken McNuggets two months ago is making new waves across the industry. A new study published in the American Journal of Medicine appears to have been inspired by the Natural News publishing of photos revealing “strange fibers” in Chicken McNuggets, and it is now exploding across the mainstream media.

“Chicken Nuggets Contain Skin, Tissue, Blood Vessels and More,” blares one headline.

Another headline from The Atlantic says, “The Three Grossest Sentences You’ll Read About Chicken Nuggets Today.”

All the stories refer to a forensic microscopic investigation of chicken nuggets revealing that they contain all sorts of mysterious ingredients which are not chicken meat.

The study was conducted by Dr. Richard deShazo, UMMC professor of medicine, pediatrics and immunology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The study appears to have been inspired by my original research conducted months earlier. See the published microscopic photos of my original research at:…

These stories were published on the Drudge Report and hundreds of other websites, but the mainstream media of course ignored them because the media has been ordered to never link to, even when we are the source of original research.

University scientists independently reproduce and confirm Health Ranger’s original scientific findings

What’s fascinating about this research published in the American Journal of Medicine is that it appears to be strangely similar to my original forensic food investigations story published here on Natural News. Even the explanation of the lead researcher sounds very similar to what I wrote months earlier.

As Dr. Richard deShazo says in his video:

“As soon as he did the autopsy on the chicken nugget, he said you gotta come look at this. I can’t believe it, there’s very little meat in this chicken nugget, it’s mostly other stuff.”

This is very similar to my own findings from the Natural News Forensic Food Lab, published on August 16, 2013, where I stated:

Under carefully controlled conditions, I then examined the Chicken McNuggets under a high-powered digital microscope, expecting to see only processed chicken bits and a fried outer coating. But what I found instead shocked even me… [from the video] I did not find anything that resembled chicken.

What I appreciate about all this, by the way, is that Dr. deShazo’s team has reproduced and confirmed my original scientific findings. This is encouraging, as it means the Natural News Forensic Food Lab is now inspiring other scientists to test our findings and independently reproduce them. This is yet more confirmation of the value of the original scientific research we are conducting here at Natural News while publishing exclusive, original stories that break new ground in investigative journalism.

Lots more original forensic food research coming soon from Natural News

We’re just getting started, of course. We have dozens of other exciting forensic food research projects under way, and we will be reporting a great number of scientific findings in the months ahead, all based on original research I am personally conducting at the Natural News Forensic Food Lab. (And yes, I still have that Big Mac in the freezer, ready to put under the ‘scope…)

As you might well expect, this original research will inspire yet more scientists to replicate and confirm our findings, and together we can bring more transparency to the food industry which has traditionally operated behind closed doors when it comes to processed food ingredients and contaminants.

We welcome all scientists from around the world to subscribe to the Natural News email newsletter (see subscribe form, below) and receive direct email notifications as we publish new, original scientific research.

We also welcome scientific journals who wish to publish our upcoming original research to contact us more details. We are on the verge of publishing some of the most exciting, original and groundbreaking research the food industry has ever witnessed, and we are open to invitations from scientific journals who wish to benefit from the enormous exposure and publicity that will come from publishing our upcoming research, all of which adheres to strict scientific methods, integrity and reproducibility.

Stay tuned for more exciting news from the Natural News Forensic Food Labs!

These are shown in extreme detail in the photos below, taken on August 15, 2013 at the Natural News Forensic Food Lab. The actual Chicken McNugget samples used in these photos have been frozen for storage of forensic evidence.

We also found odd red coloring splotches in several locations, as well as a spherical green object that resembles algae.

We are not claiming or implying that these objects in any way make McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets unsafe to consume. We do, however, believe that this visual evidence may warrant an FDA investigation into the ingredient composition of Chicken McNuggets.

In particular, where are the hair-like structures coming from? This is especially important to answer, given that chickens do not have hair. Is there cross-species contamination in the processing of Chicken McNuggets? This question needs to be answered.

Here are the new images just released by the Natural News Forensic Food Lab, with notations:

This black strand appears to be a multi-fibrous “tangle” of unknown origin:

This is one of the more mysterious fibers we’ve found. Notice that the semi-transparent fiber appears to have a “sheath” surrounding the center portion of the fiber. This seems to indicate the likelihood of a biological origin:

Here’s another black fiber “tangle.” We found these frequently as we searched through several Chicken McNuggets:

Here is yet another “tangle” we located:

For comparison, we added a dog hair fiber to this slide so that you can see the size difference. The large brown hair arcing across the entire frame is a dog hair. The much smaller black hair-like fiber is what we found in a Chicken McNugget:

Here is an extreme close-up of a black fiber we managed to remove from a Chicken McNugget. Notice that it appears to be segmented. This may indicate it could be made of biological cells connected end to end:

Here are some additional fibers and hair-like structures we found in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets. All images are at 200X magnification:

  1. I have read before that only half a chicken nugget is actually chicken. The other half is chemicals.

  2. I ordered Wendy’s nuggets last night (8/18/13) in Haines city, FL and I found a “fiber/hair-like” object inside when I tore it apart. I was ready to complain when my brother-in-law said he saw this video…Can you check Wendy’s out?

  3. Wow we been stopping our children from eating these now they got to see for themselves..thanks..

  4. What about the Big Mac?

  5. Oh my gosh, my stomach hurts now. Disgusting! Immensely disgusting!!!

  6. this is totally disgusting, i personally do not eat this composition, company that allows this kind of garbage on the market need to be out of business.

  7. Makes me wonder what else we are really eating, thats nasty.

Check out this website I came across the other day I believe this is what might be in those gross chicken nuggets…very disturbing…

  9. How about this for a thought? STOP EATING PROCESSED FOOD. NONE OF IT IS NATURAL—by definition. Support your own health and eat local, organic produce. AND learn to COOK and prepare your own FOOD. Both women and men, children and the old, the wealthy and the not-so-wealthy—DON’T RELY ON INDUSTRIAL PROCESSED FOODS TO PROMOTE YOUR HEALTH. PROCESSED FOOD SEES FOOD AS A COMMODITY, NOT AS NUTRITION. You do NOT NEED fast food, you are NOT THAT BUSY. JUNK PROCESSED FOOD makes me you crave more of it the more you eat it. STOP THE CYCLE. Stop eating it. It will be hard but after dumping all the crap out of your house (don’t even keep your cheat day sweets or chips, all of it GONE) and eating WHOLE, FOODS for a few months you will not even miss that junk food. Your body will start to know what it feels like to feel healthy and wonderful and you will never want to go back to feeling the way processed food made you feel. No amount of processed food is worth the damage it does to your body, the chronic disease that it nourishes. ENJOY LIFE, ENJOY FOOD and ENJOY THAT HEALTHY WHOLE FOODS WILL MAKE YOU FEEL AND LIVE 1000% BETTER THAN YOU WOULD EVER HAVE THOUGHT POSSIBLE.
I wish you all wonderful health, enjoyment of nourishing food and drink and life!

  10. We have become so addicted to fast, junk food and most are immune and don’t care what goes into their food. Just look at what people put into their shopping carts. The processed food in the supermarket is no different. Bottom line we need to get back to cooking our own food from scratch.

  11. It might just be parts of the chickens veins, ground up . The red is probably just food coloring. The way they make chicken nuggets is a pretty gross process though.

  12. i think it’s the blood vessel of the bird. i’m just saying lol

  13. This would be plenty gross and scary without the ridiculous music.

  14. Yeah… The FDA. They will get to the bottom of this.

  15. Chicken nuggets are gross, and only barely qualify as food?!? OH MY GOD!!!

  16. worst video, “as you can see here theres the colour, uhhh red” they didint sample or analyze any of the content they pointed out. Im not saying thier good for you, but id like to see someone properly breakdown processed food from a large chain so we could see how much radiation and toxins are contained within.

  17. My grandfather was a USDA chicken plant inspector for the state of Georgia for many years. I remember when Chicken Nuggets were first introduced. My grandfather came in from work one day and said never eat chicken nuggets from any fast food place or anywhere for that matter. The way the nuggets were made was not something he wanted his family to eat. I asked how they were made and he would never answer. He raised chickens in his backyard and ate what he grew. He would never purchase meat in a grocery store.

  18. Also keep in mind that they’re talking about seeing this through a microscope too…
idgaf, I’ll keep eating at McD’s. It tastes good. :)

I was reading about foods made from beef. The article said that a small percent (don’t remember the number) of fecal matter in the beef was acceptable. I’ve heard horror stories about hotdogs. I still love them and continue to eat them. We also breath in some pretty nasty gunk, but I try not to think about it.

  20. Many of you say, eat healthy, organic, fresh foods, not processed junk foods. Here’s some food for though…how many people do you know that can afford to eat like that all the time? My family certainly cannot..not when a bag of lettuce costs almost $4.00 (there are 3 adults in my household). Apples are close to $5.00 a bag, grapes…approximately $4.00 a pound. A bag of frozen chicken breast is $8.00 a bag. Anything that is remotely healthy costs way more than it should..yet everyone blames the unhealthy “fatty’s” for being addicted to junk food.

Not everyone has a job where they can afford to eat this overpriced crap. When prices go down for fresh, healthy foods, that’s when you’ll start to see more people becoming healthy.

  21. Merely wanna comment that you have a very nice site, I like the pattern it actually stands out.

  22. that looks like a suture

  23. Anyone that is even half-way serious abut a healthy diet would not eat anything from a fast food place.

Thanks for illustrating why we shouldn’t.

  24. Definitely the most dramatic chicken nugget video ever; drop the music and melodrama. Informative video though.

  25. Mike,

I worked all of 2 days on the line at Tyson Foods in Hope, AR. My job was to scour through chicken skins to find any ‘foreign’ material, bones, plastic, bits of rubber off gloves, ect. I was told by my supervisor that the skins is what Chicken McNuggets are made of so it was very important that I make sure nothing slips through. GOOD LUCK! He also informed me that ‘we’ Tyson, have the exclusive contract with McDonald’s to supply nuggets and ‘we’ supply the entire US.

Now, with that said. The different colored objects. Our hair nets were different colors which screamed how long you’d worked there. Starting off with red then green, blue, yellow and white. Could this be what some of the ‘colored objects’ were from? Ear protections and other PSE, maybe? I only know I will never eat any of them again… YUCK! Then only chicken the Chicken McNuggets has in them is SKIN!
